Habitat

0_21_giant_squid_1.jpg

We know very little about the giant squid's habitat. What we do know is that they're preyed upon by sperm whales at depths of 3,000 feet and have been caught in similarily deep waters. In the late nineteenth century duringa period of ten years, hundreds of giant squid beached in New Zealand and New Foundland. Scientists still do not know what caused this.
